Bleeding Gums

Healthy gums don't bleed. Bleeding usually means plaque has built up along the gum line, causing inflammation (gingivitis) — the earliest, most reversible stage of gum disease. Less commonly, it can relate to brushing too hard, medication or general health.

The worst thing to do is stop cleaning the area — that lets plaque build further. Instead, keep gentle, thorough cleaning going and see us for an assessment and professional clean. Early action usually reverses the problem completely.
